When Grace Happens

God’s grace can change our lives in powerful ways, even when that life is messed up, off track, or in trouble. We had the opportunity on Sunday to hear personal stories of God's Amazing Grace in the lives of 5 members of the family. We heard how how grace changed lives. Through this series on Amazing Grace, we have now been blessed with 7 testimonies where some in the family have said, "I would like to share God's Grace in my life"s I am praying that God will bring more before we finish in two weeks. To discover grace is to discover God's total devotion to us, his stubborn resolve to give us a cleansing, healing, purging love that lifts the wounded back to their feet. Does he stand high on a hill and bid us to climb out of the valley? No. He bungees down and carries us out. Does he build a bridge and command us to cross it? No. He crosses the bridge and carries us over. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God” Ephesians 2:8 An angel spoke these words long ago. Shepherds heard them first. But what the angel said to them, God says to anyone who will listen. “There has been born for you a Savior. . .” Jesus is the gift. He himself is the treasure. This is the gift that God gives; a grace that grants us the power to receive love and then the power to give it. A grace that changes us, shapes us, and leads us to a life that is eternally altered. Do you know this grace? If not, you can. All God wants from us is faith. Put your faith in God and grow in God’s grace. If you have a story to tell, or you were blessed with what you heard, would you let me know? Just send me a note. Pastor Bill
