As we continue the God Question series, we are looking at what it means to live our our calling. A lot of people get confused, understanding the difference between purpose and calling. We see in the book of Ephesians chapter one that God's unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus. Based on this scripture, we believe the first Purpose of our life is to be loved by God. And then as we read Romans 1:7 we find that he has Called us to be his very own people, leading us to believe that my first Calling is to enjoy a relationship with God.
Through this series, my daily prayer for our church is found in Ephesians 3.
Dear Church Family: my prayer is that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love, and may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Amen.
